My name is Thang Do, I have over 20 years experience in providing IT support needs to SMEs with employees ranging from 1 to over 150.​

  • As the sole IT personnel of the company supporting 130 users spread out to 6 remote offices in the United States, from Honolulu, Houston, Tempe, Atlanta, New York, San Diego.

  • Migrated from 16 physical servers to VMware servers spread on 2 primary and 1 redundant server on Amazon Web Services, using VEEAM to perform daily snapshot sync and backup. Lowered electricity and cooling usage and needs with 99.999% historical up time.

  • Procured and deployed new desktop remote control tool, SimpleHelp. Cutting down on support time SLA.

  • Design, build, test and maintain network infrastructure, travels to current and new remote office to work with construction and development team to plan and design construction projects network infrastructure.

  • Work with annual budget of IT department, implement new automation system of MDM and account consolidation, resulting in an annual saving of $72K on mobile phone plans cost alone.

  • Setup automate procurement process with vendor for ease of reports and cost allocation to stay within budget.

  • Manage consultants and vendors to relay clear expectations of cost and delivery to user.

  • Designed and implanted building security camera system, to protect and mitigate vandalism.

  • Negotiated new contract with Sharp MFP for local and remote office with over $7K/month saving.

  • Migrated company to Office 365 cloud infrastructure vs. hosted solution, resulted in $3K/month saving.

  • Setup and support of annual tradeshow and conventions that company attends annually. Assisted in cutting over 10% of a $500K show budget with diligent procurements and close monitoring of costs.

  • Deployed new UPS system resulting in 99.999% in uptime versus of fully dependent on power grid as prior.
